A New Play in a New City

April 17th to April 27th, 2025

Angelique just opened the second production ever of Brian Dykstra's new play, Polishing Shakespeare at the Bridge Street Theatre in Catskills, NY! She booked the job the day she arrived in NYC (after driving through the night from Cincinnati).

The play is the story of a dot-com billionaire who pays an esteemed American theatre company to translate Shakespeare into English. This sly comedy, written entirely in iambic pentameter, is inspired by an unbelievably true story, as it asks the question: to sell out or not to sell out.
