My name is Angelique Archer and, although I was born and raised in the warmth and sunshine of Miami, Florida, I made the crazy decision to move to the freezing cold of Clinton, NY, to attend Hamilton College. Spending most of my life in such a vibrant and diverse place like Miami has given me an appreciation, as both a person and as an artist, for the complexity and uniqueness of us all. And as a recent graduate of a liberal arts college majoring in vastly different subjects (Theatre and Economics) I was able to explore and begin to understand the uniqueness in myself.
I am currently based in Cincinnati, OH where you can find me performing in shows at the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company and Know Theatre of Cincinnati, teaching future theatre lovers throughout the tri-state area, or with my head either buried in a book or looking through the lens of a camera.
As a theatre artist, I have the privilege to create art that allows people to feel seen, through the presentation of a new story or the retelling of a classic. Which is honestly amazing! In the future, I hope to continue to not just share stories that showcase underrepresented voices but to bring these stories to the communities that need them.
